If he stays injury free, I can't see how it won't go to Soucek.

I never thought that I'd say this, but the HOTY for me this season is........David Moyes.
there i said it !!!.
what he's done for the club this year is mindboggling. his player purchases and the way he has motivated them is just great. I'm still concerned a bit with the occasional negativity, but on the whole he has really surprised me.

Rice, then Soucek.

Suspect it would've been Antonio if injury had let him play more games.

Re: Hammer of the year
Unusually, there are a number of contenders, but I can't see how it can be anyone other than Rice.

Loads of contenders.

Rice, Soucek, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Dawson, Coufal, Lingard.

Rice will probably get it.

Love to see Coufal get it.
Set a great example from the minute he walk into the club.

Re: Hammer of the year
Rice and Soucek should be favourites with Rice nudging ahead because he has been absolutely phenomenal all year but maybe with more games out, Soucek edges him.

Next up Antonio for working so hard and effectively on his own up front. Only injury and a small loss of form mid season stops him being up there at the top.

If Lingard carries on like this till the end of the season then as mad as it sounds, he has to be in contention as an outsider with only half a season under his belt just because of the incredible impact he has had.

Re: Hammer of the year
We usually have one or two stand out contenders so it shows what a great season we’re having in that any of the below have a serious chance of winning it. This is with Fabianski, Masuaku, Johnson, Diop, Bowen and Fornals all having decent seasons too.

Coufal
Dawson
Ogbonna
Cresswell
Rice
Soucek
Antonio
Lingard

Re: Hammer of the year
Talk about toughie. Soucek should get it. Because he seems to be the last man standing. But regardless of where we finish. I would scrap it this year. And give a award to the entire team. The Boys of 86 may have ended higher up the table and with more points. But I never seen this team play so consistently as a group of players since I been following this wonderful team.
